Heartland Cares Updates

We’re making great progress in developing a community-led home care service for Rannoch & Tummel and Dunkeld & Birnam. Our aim is to help people stay in their homes for as long as they choose, addressing the challenges of accessing care in remote rural areas.

We have recruited a board and a CEO/Home Care Manager, Divij Suri. We’re delighted to have him on board, please join us in welcoming him to the community.  Divij brings extensive experience in healthcare leadership and service development, with a strong commitment to person-centred, community-focused care. His background in leading multidisciplinary teams and developing high-quality care services will be invaluable as Heartland Cares moves towards delivering locally led home care across Rannoch & Tummel and Dunkeld & Birnam.

Our next step is to recruit two Local Care Connectors (one each for Rannoch & Tummel, and Dunkeld & Birnam) who are passionate about working with these communities and helping them to improve the health and wellbeing of their families, friends and neighbours.

The full job description and application pack are available on the SKS website. We warmly welcome applications from members of our community, who bring an understanding of some of the challenges faced by our local population.

We also have new branding and we’re working on a website to inform our community of the services we can offer and support us with our efforts to recruit a local team of staff and volunteers.
